Centers for CT (Computational Thinking) Education and Research
Computational Thinking is becoming more and more popular ever since Wing (2006) proposed it. As acclaimed by Denning (2019), it is an imperative skill for citizens living in a highly digitalized society, which is relatively reasonable as digitalization is almost everywhere, not only in our daily life, but also in industrial production. CT skills can enable people to communicate and cooperate with each other more efficiently. In order to help citizens to keep pace with the rapid development of technology and facilitate digital education, organizations and institutes established Computational Thinking education centers and have conducted research in how to provide citizens better computational thinking education. In this article, we investigated those CT education centers, which presented their center and relevant work on the internet, to introduce the readers what events are going on in this field.
