TIM VAN DER ZEE, MSc – CEL PhD candidate at Leiden University, ICLON department.
He holds a Masters in Human Learning and Performance from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Before his PhD position he worked as a research assistant on several studies, including research on the expertise development of physicians and clinical reasoning. His primary research topic is open online education such as MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course). By combining cognitive and educational psychology he studies how to effectively teach and learn in an online environment. As a member of the Centre of Education and Learning he collaborates with researchers from several universities and different disciplines.
