The Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Education and Learning aims at creating a joint professional training platform for university teachers that provides room for innovation and creativity.
University teachers are directly involved in designing their own training and educational developers work with technicians and researchers to deliver state-of-the-art and research-based teaching modules.
In the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Education and Learning (CEL), Leiden University, Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam build on their combined expertise and experience with a twofold aim:
- develop state-of-the-art and tailor-made training programmes for teaching faculty and staff
- enable teaching faculty as well and directors and coordinators of education to exchange ideas and experiences in a multidisciplinary and interuniversity setting.
Academic Teaching Lab
The Academic Teaching Lab is an exclusive opportunity for teachers to immerse themselves in educational innovation for two days in a "pressure cooker" setting.
Leadership in Education Course
The Leadership in Education Course is aimed at directors and managers of education at Leiden University, Delft University of Technology and Erasmus University Rotterdam. The course enables and empowers them to develop a broad en practice-oriented vision on education and educational innovation. Developed by Risbo, Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Senior Teaching Qualification
The Senior Teaching Qualification course ('SKO') builds on the mandatory University Teaching Qualification course ('BKO'). It is focused on training participants from Leiden, Delft and Erasmus to innovate and further improve their teaching, fed by student evaluations, scientific literature, and developments in educational innovation. Developed and offered by Risbo, Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Joint training modules 'Online and Blended Learning'
Educational training developers from Leiden University, Delft University and Erasmus University Rotterdam have joined forces in developing three training modules in the field of online and blended learning that are open to teachers from all three universities.
