How does Pitch2Peer work?
- You set an assignment
You set an assignment for your students, thereby defining what students should submit and how peer review is arranged. - Students submit their pitches
Students submit their pitches, either individually or in teams. Pitches can be creative products (such as blogs, posters, slideshows, animations, knowledge clips) or recorded video clips. In video clips students explain their ideas ‘vlog-style’, or demonstrate a relevant skill. - Motivational feedback
Once pitch submission is completed, all pitches are available in the course gallery. Students can leave comments and assign likes to each other’s pitches. - Peer review
In addition, each student is assigned to write peer reviews on a selection of pitches, providing valuable and detailed feedback on specific criteria. - Students learn from feedback
Once peer review is complete, all feedback is made available, including instructor’s feedback and grades

Leiden University Pilot (Proeftuin) Results
Leiden University has run a university-wide pilot in 2015-2016 with 29 courses, 26 teachers and 3000 students. The pilot has been a great success. After evaluating the pilot the ICT-O department presented the following results:
- 100% of the teachers who used Pitch2Peer in the pilot wants to use it more often. In addition, a large majority of the students was enthusiastic about the tool
- Pitch2Peer has shown a clear added didactic value: engaging active learning by students, and acquiring new skills such as presenting and giving feedback
- By using Pitch2Peer, teachers and students can spend in-class time more effectively
- Pitch2Peer motivates both teachers and students
- Pitch2Peer can be used in a large variety of courses and assignments
