In 2016 and 2017 CEL gave researchers at the three universities the opportunity to hand in proposals for a short (max 18 months) project.
These two years the call for proposals was framed within the research program of CEL “Student engagement, participation, and achievement in online higher education” which focused on online learning in higher education, including elements of open education as well as on-campus education. Each year three research projects were awarded by the assessment committee, consisting of the professors involved in CEL's Research program.
